Dia daoibh go léir! Welcome to the AB Trains RUclips channel, my name is Adam. I’m a British rail enthusiast, diagnosed with ASD and based in the English county of Leicestershire.
For nearly a decade, we’ve provided plenty of Real Life and Roblox train content, and maybe the odd stream now and then if I ever got down to doing one.
The channel was founded as Golden Minecart on August 9th 2014, but was renamed to the name we have today around early-2016 due to the arrival of railway content the year before. Since then, I’ve been touring England, Wales and Scotland & have started filming in Ireland in 2023. NI is next!

A DAY OUT WITH THOMAS | Nene Valley Railway | 22/06/2024
In this video, we ride behind a cheeky little blue engine with 6 small wheels, a short stumpy funnel, a short stumpy boiler and a short stumpy dome at his home, the Nene Valley Railway in Cambridgeshire.
We also see a Class 14 diesel locomotive running the usual Wansford to Peterborough service, formed of 5 ex-Orient Express coaches that were once used to connect the UK with the rest of Europe way before Eurostar and the Channel Tunnel existed.
We also see some runnings on a large model railway located on an old carriage on the Peterborough-bound platform, featuring a variety of diesel and steam locomotives giving us all an idea of what the UK’s railways were like before some twonk in a sui...

It was a quick revisit as I was in the middle of riding that train up and down the line, it was only like a 30 second stop roughly
Nice adam! Just to let you know new crossings in the kemmeridge area there are cutby tadcaster and cutby west you could do that while you could do rouncil lane and rouncil farm
Are the new crossings actual crossings (AHB or MCB) or are they gated?

There that time you said Cambridgeshire because you said lincolnshire lol 🤣
The border is only roughly 1/3 of a mile from the crossing. I kept thinking it was Lincolnshire because of the crossing’s proximity to Tallington, little did I realise the border separates the two lol. It goes straight through the middle.

Thanks! The 221s currently only operate on the London to Bradford via Pontefract route alongside the 180s. Sunderland via Thirsk and Hartlepool is 180 only.

I think you'll find that the siding at downham is still very much in use! As signaller there until very recently, it's used for on track machines and the occasional stabling of 8car passenger sets.
